A chemical peel is a treatment that utilizes specialized chemical agents to ablate the skin. The process involves controlled destruction of layers of skin resulting in exfoliation of the skin.

Average treatments required is about 3 over period of 4-6 months.
After your chemical peel treatment, you should anticipate flaking, dryness, skin irritation, redness, swelling, and peeling. Sunscreen is strongly recommended after treatments.
Diligent application of the sunscreen is the key to keep the treatment’s effect all the time. You may need a peel or products occasionally depending how your skin responds.
It is recommended the skin is primed for the chemical peel by using the home products for a minimum of 4 weeks. Then in clinic a chemical peel is done. Although it sounds so harsh as the skin would peel off it generally happens slowly with minimal scaling.
